Following Peter's participation in the BBVA book launch in Boston, I took part in a similar event in Madrid last week, led by Francisco González, chairman and chief executive of the Spanish banking group, who talked about how the banking sector has to adapt fast to digitization and new competitors. My presentation was on female leadership and new styles of leadership for the digital age, the topic of my chapter in the book. Celia de Anca and Salvador Aragón of IE Business School spoke about tribalism in the collaborative economy and Philip Evans of Boston Consulting Group addressed the impact of Big Data on business. The new book, which BBVA has made openly accessible, has already been downloaded by many thousands of people.
